Terms of service
Questions? Call us(409) 256-4583The conditions that apply to your booking, covering Shuttle Protection, refunds, pickups, luggage, and accessibility. Please read them before you book.
Every shared seat is protectedPlease read these service terms before you book. By booking with Houston to Galveston Shuttle Co. you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you are legally able to enter into this agreement, that you have had a fair opportunity to read these terms, and that you accept and agree to be bound by them. If anything here is unclear, call 409.256.4583 before you book rather than after.
1. The service we provide
Houston to Galveston Shuttle Co. provides ground transportation between Houston-area airports, Houston addresses, the Port of Galveston, and Galveston hotels. We run two distinct products, and several provisions below apply to only one of them.
- Shared shuttle. Sold per person at the posted fare. Departs from IAH and Hobby only, on a published schedule, and may carry other passengers and serve more than one terminal.
- Private transfer. Sold per vehicle at a fixed rate agreed at booking. Available from any Houston address, at a time you choose, with no other passengers.
2. Shuttle Protection
Shuttle Protection is built into the fare of every shared seat at no additional cost. On private transfers it is not included; you may add it at booking for 10% of the fare.
Where Shuttle Protection applies, you are entitled to a refund of the fare, less the card processing fee, in each of the following situations:
- A delayed or cancelled inbound flight causes you to miss your scheduled pickup.
- Your ship returns to port late and you miss your scheduled return pickup.
- You cancel for any reason at least 2 hours before your scheduled pickup time.
Where seats are available, we will move you to a later same-day departure instead of refunding you, if you prefer. We cannot guarantee availability on a later departure, particularly on a cruise weekend.
Shuttle Protection does not cover missed pickups caused by traffic, parking, meals, shopping, rideshare delays, or misjudging how much time you needed. It refunds the fare. It does not compensate you for a missed sailing, a missed flight, or any other cost arising from a missed pickup.
You must tell us as soon as you know you will miss or have missed a pickup. Call 409.256.4583. Claims made after the fact, without prior contact, may not be honoured.
3. Cancellations, changes, and no-shows
3.1 Cancel at least 2 hours before your scheduled pickup and your fare is refunded, less the card processing fee.
3.2 Cancellations made inside 2 hours of pickup are not refunded, except where Shuttle Protection applies as described in section 2.
3.3 There is no fee to change a booking. Moving to a different departure, date, or vehicle is subject to availability. Tell us as far ahead as you can.
3.4 If a change increases the total price, the difference is payable at the time of the change. If a change reduces the total price, we do not refund the difference; cancel and rebook instead if that suits you better.
3.5 A booking that is changed or rebooked is governed by the terms in effect on the date of the change, as posted on this page.
3.6 If you do not arrive at the pickup point and have not contacted us, the booking is treated as a no-show. No-shows are not refunded and cannot be rescheduled, except where Shuttle Protection applies.
3.7 Refunds are issued to the original payment method and generally clear within 5 to 7 business days.
4. Payment
4.1 Fares are paid at booking by major credit or debit card, or by a selected payment app. We do not take cash for fares. Tipping your driver in cash at drop-off is a separate matter and is entirely optional.
4.2 Card payments carry a processing fee, which is shown at checkout and is normally included in the total price you are quoted. This fee is retained on refunds.
4.3 The fare you are quoted is the fare you pay. We do not apply surge pricing, fuel surcharges, booking fees, or per-bag fees. Gratuity is never added automatically and is entirely at your discretion.
5. Last-minute bookings
5.1 A booking made within 48 hours of the scheduled pickup is a last-minute booking.
5.2 Last-minute bookings are subject to availability and to confirmation by our team. Payment is required at the time of confirmation.
5.3 Additional charges may apply depending on the vehicle and time required.
6. Shared shuttle pickups
6.1 Shared shuttles run to a published schedule. Be at the designated pickup point 15 minutes before your departure time. Because the vehicle is carrying other passengers, it cannot wait for late arrivals.
6.2 Shared departure times account for multiple passengers and more than one terminal. Traffic and operational conditions may delay a departure, and we may adjust departure times where necessary. Plan your day with a cushion.
6.3 We do not track flights on shared bookings. If your inbound flight is delayed or cancelled, you must tell us as soon as you know by calling 409.256.4583. We will do our best to move you to a later departure, subject to availability. A delay we are not told about cannot be accommodated.
6.4 Shared seats do not guarantee that your party travels in the same vehicle. Groups may be split across departures where capacity requires it. Book a private transfer if traveling together in one vehicle matters to you.
6.5 If you have a return flight departing at or before 1:00 PM on debarkation day, book a private transfer from the cruise port rather than a shared seat. We are not responsible for missed flights.
7. Private transfer pickups
7.1 On airport pickups we allow up to 60 minutes of waiting from your actual landing time. We monitor flights and adjust pickup times where we can, subject to vehicle availability.
7.2 Cruise port pickups allow 20 minutes of waiting. Hotel, vacation rental, and private address pickups allow 10 minutes.
7.3 Waiting beyond the included period depends on driver availability and is charged from $60 per additional hour for a car, $90 for a van, and $120 for a Sprinter.
7.4 Each private booking includes one pickup point and one drop-off point. If your party arrives on different flights or at different terminals, everyone meets at a single terminal before we load. Departing parties are dropped at one terminal.
7.5 Private pricing is for the vehicle, not per person. If part of your party does not appear, the price is unchanged. We do not issue partial refunds for absent passengers and we do not return for them.
7.6 A private transfer may include a stop en route if it is agreed at booking so the time can be built into the schedule. Stops requested on the day cannot be guaranteed.
8. Luggage
8.1 A shared seat includes one checked bag and one carry-on per person. A private transfer includes one checked bag and one personal item per person.
8.2 Extra, oversized, or unusually shaped items must be declared at booking so we can allocate the space or assign a larger vehicle. Items presented at the kerb without notice cannot be guaranteed carriage, and we may decline them.
8.3 You are responsible for checking that your belongings are loaded at the start and collected at the end of the journey. We are not liable for items left in a vehicle. Where we are able to return a left-behind item, a charge may apply.
8.4 Keep medication, travel documents, valuables, and anything you cannot replace with you rather than in a checked bag.
9. Accessibility
9.1 Folding wheelchairs and walkers travel free on our standard vehicles. Tell us at booking so the space is allocated. They are carried at your own risk and we are not responsible for loss of or damage to them.
9.2 We do not carry mobility scooters or powered wheelchairs. They do not fold and our vehicles do not have the space for them.
9.3 Our vehicles are not wheelchair accessible. None of them are ramp or lift equipped, and we do not operate a lift-equipped vehicle on request.
9.4 Passengers must be able to reach the designated meeting point and to board and exit the vehicle safely without assistance from our drivers or staff. Drivers assist with luggage. They are not trained to lift, carry, or physically transfer passengers, and will not do so.
9.5 If you need a lift-equipped vehicle, or assistance boarding, please book with a wheelchair-accessible transportation provider. By booking with us you accept that we are not liable for injuries, delays, or missed departures arising from mobility limitations or from an inability to reach the pickup point.
10. Children and service animals
10.1 Child safety seats are $15 each way and must be reserved at booking. We cannot supply one that has not been requested in advance.
10.2 Trained service animals travel free and do not need to be in a carrier. Pets other than service animals are not carried.
11. Conduct and refusal of service
11.1 We ask every passenger to behave considerately toward the driver and toward other passengers.
11.2 Disruptive behaviour, verbal or physical abuse, unlawful conduct, and intoxication that affects the safety or comfort of others will end the journey without a refund.
11.3 Drivers may refuse service where these conditions are not met. No refund is due where service is refused on these grounds.
11.4 Smoking, vaping, and open containers of alcohol are not permitted in any vehicle.
12. Vehicles
12.1 Vehicle photographs and model names on this site are illustrative. The make and model supplied may differ, but the class of service you booked will be met.
12.2 If the booked vehicle becomes unavailable we may supply more than one vehicle to cover the same capacity. We absorb that cost and do not pass it on to you.
13. Availability and cancellation by us
13.1 All bookings are subject to confirmation and availability. We may decline, modify, or cancel a booking, and will tell you in writing at the email address given at booking.
13.2 Where we cancel, we refund the fare in full. That refund is the limit of our liability in those circumstances.
13.3 We are not liable for onward costs arising from a cancellation by us, including missed sailings, missed flights, and missed connections.
14. Delays and events outside our control
14.1 We are not liable for delays or losses caused by traffic, weather, road or port conditions, mechanical failure, or other events outside our reasonable control.
14.2 Build a cushion into your travel day. Boarding deadlines are set by your cruise line and do not move for ground transport. We are not responsible for a missed sailing or a missed flight except as set out in section 2.
14.3 Where a vehicle problem prevents a booked journey, we will tell you as soon as we can and try to arrange an alternative. We are not liable for consequential losses if we cannot.
15. Changes to these terms
15.1 We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page is the version that applies and takes precedence over any other copy.
15.2 A booking that is modified or rebooked is governed by the terms posted on the date of that change.
15.3 Review this page before you book or change a booking.
16. Liability and governing law
To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with a booking is limited to the fare paid. [Insert your insurance, limitation-of-liability, indemnity, dispute-resolution, and governing-law provisions here, reviewed by counsel.]
